Brigit has “itchy feet”. No, not a food allergy (thankfully) but two words that have defined Brigit’s life thus far. As a child her family moved around often. Seven states and two countries later, she has an obsession with travel and has tasted her way around the world.
Brigit has a Masters Degree in Travel and Tourism Management and after working for Tour Operators and Private Travel Planners, has started her own Private Travel Planning business, Day 3 Travel.
Always a food lover, it wasn’t until a few years ago that she became much of a cook herself. Until then she had been focused on the consumption of food rather than its preparation! But on a frigid October day in Minneapolis, faced with the coldest winter of her life, she cranked the oven and didn’t stop cooking until May. She feels relaxed in the kitchen now and counts cooking as one of her greatest joys.
As the mother of a toddler living in New York City, Brigits’ favorite pastime now, aside from traveling of course, is introducing her daughter to all of the different types of cuisine available. She is proud to say that Duck Liver Pate, Thai Curry Puffs and Oysters on the half shell are her daughters’ current favorite foods.
