Growing up in Israel on a kibbutz, Omri absorbed the country air of the great plains. As a kid going out for strolls between vineyards and watermelon fields on one hand and plantations on the other was his favorite pastime.
As a teen Omri started working in the kibbutz's dining room which was the closest thing around to a professional kitchen (and so far from it…).
After discharging from the Israel Defense Forces Omri started working with children in the mornings and as a bartender at night, combining 2 of his 3 greatest passions – teaching and food (writing is the 3rd).Nowadays Omri is the owner of "Ktantanim" (which means little people) and teaches families and kids of all ages the joy and magic of cooking.
